Bake Sale Fundraiser for Adult Prom, Sunday April 16
There will be a bake sale on Sunday, April 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Casey's parking lot located at 1112 West 4th St. in Vinton.Items that will be available include: Brownies, Cookies, Muffins, fresh popcorn, Texas Sheet Cake and much more!Funds will be used to sponsor the Adult Prom Masquerade Ball that will be held on Satuday, May 19th. Shellsburg Legion Annual Spring Fish Fry, Friday, April 28
The Shellsburg American Legion Annual Spring Fish Fry will be held on Friday, April 28 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. The Legion is located at 114 Main St SW.The meal includes: Fish, Baked Potato, Salad Bar, Juice and Coffee. Dine in or Carry out available. Cost is Adults: $15Children 5 - 10: $8 4 and under: Free. Contest winners to be honored at the Iowa State FairIowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig is encouraging school-age students to participate in the 2023 Choose Iowa Calendar Contest hosted by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. Artwork submitted should feature at least one aspect of Iowa agriculture, with an emphasis on food, livestock or crop production.
